ISIGroup’sGeneralManagementhasalwaysbeenactiveat the
highest level inmatters relating tohealth and safety. The size
of the company, its international standing and the growth in
headcountdemand theestablishmentofaglobal riskmanagement
strategy.Tocontrolandprevent risk, it iscrucial to takeeverystep to
ensure thatbestbehavioral andsupervisorypracticesareaccepted
byallanddisseminatedaswidelyaspossible.

To meet these objectives, in 2014, LISI’s general management
initiatedanambitiousprogramwith theaimofachievingexcellence
in HSE. This continuous improvement program, named
LISI
ExcellenceHSE
, plotsa common course for all theGroup’s entities.
It constitutes a unifying and structuring project around themeans
allocated toachieve theseobjectives. Itmust ultimately lead to the
emergence of a common culture of risk control andmanagement
within theGroup. It will buildon theHSEmanagement centers set
up at each site in order to achieve Excellence in terms of on-site
activitiesandproblemsolving.
Facilitationandsupport tools
The Group has allocated considerable funds to achieve these
objectives. In 2014, LISI invested €5.6million in the areas of safety
andtheenvironment, inparticular forthesafetyofmachinery,better
ergonomic layout of work stations and extraction systems. This
program isdesignedtospeeduptheprovision, ineachoftheGroup’s
plants, of facilitation and support tools dedicated exclusively to
HSE issues. These riskmanagement tools are deployed according
to international standard OHSAS 18001. All sites (excluding sites
acquired in 2014) have been certified to this same standard by an
independentexternalorganization.

HSEForum inMay2014brought
together themanagement of each
division, all the sitemanagers and the
HSE leaders. Several objectiveswere set
on this occasion: by the end of 2016, all
siteswithin theLISI Groupmust display
a frequency rate of accidents atwork,
with orwithout lost time (TF1) of less
than10 (temporaryworkers included).
In respect of the environment, the three
division of theLISI Groupmust reduce
their energy consumptionby10%
comparedwith2014 figures. Another
Forumwill beheld in2017 tomake a first
assessment of these actions.
