thecompany tomanage its resourcesand to
optimizeallof itsproductionmethods inorder
to reduce itsenvironmental footprintand to
ensuresustainablegrowth.
J
ust as on the themes of health and safety at
work, the General Management ismobilized
to its highest level on all subjects that relate
directly or indirectly to the environmental impact
of the Group. The policy and organization put in
place are based on the international standard
ISO 14001 governing themanagement system of
environmental risk. To date, all the Group’s sites
are certified, with the exception of Casablanca
(Morocco) and Sędziszów (Poland), recently
acquired, andwhose certification is scheduled for
2014.
Controloverwaterandenergy
Even if it hardly intervenes in themanufacturing
processes being implemented (it is necessary for
washing of parts and surface treatment), each of
the LISI sites recycle all processedwater. Added
to themany, local and supported initiatives, the
Group has managed this year to decrease its
relative consumption in terms of production by
8.7%.Thisdropattains21% for LISIAEROSPACE.
Energy,mainlyused for production, is the focus of
specific attention. The streamlining of the process
has resulted in lowering theGroup’s consumption
by 9%, to 0.273MWh per K€ product, despite the
increase inproductionof LISIAEROSPACE.
Wastemanagement
The LISI Group very closelymonitors the direct
environmental impact of its production sites, and
in particular themanagement of waste. In 2013,
the group generated 25.5 kg of residue for €1000
parts produced, or 12.8% less than in 2012. The
share of sortedwaste (95.6%), equivalent to last
year, remains very high. It is basically recyclable
metal residue (55% of the total quantity ofwaste
produced). Sortedhazardouswaste (32% ofwaste
fromtheGroup),aretreatedordisposedof through
authorizedand regulatedchannels.
The remaining quantities concern garbage
producedbyproduction-relatedactivities (sanitary
facilities,canteens,etc.).
